What is Invisalign Treatment?
Invisalign treatment is a series of clear plastic removable aligners that gently move your teeth to a computerised final desired position. Because the aligners are clear, it eliminates the unsightly appearance of having traditional orthodontic bulky brackets and wires on your teeth. People do not even notice you have them on, they are virtually unnoticeable hence the name Invisible Braces. You can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing. They are a treatment option suitable for teens to seniors, with crowded, crooked or overlapped teeth.
Clear aligners sit very comfortably in the mouth eliminating the typical irritations felt with traditional braces. The treatment is completely painless. Their biggest advantage is they can be removed, allowing you to better care for your teeth through cleaning and flossing while allowing you to still enjoy all the foods you love without worrying they will get stuck in-between metal wires and brackets.

How do clear aligners work?
A set of aligners is worn for 1 – 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position the dentist has prescribed.
You will visit us approximately once every 6 – 8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
Total treatment time averages 6 – 9 months. This, of course, will vary from case to case.
We straighten your teeth using a custom-made series of computer-generated aligners created especially for you.
The aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. They gradually and gently shift your teeth into place.
There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with very little disturbance to your daily life.
The aligners are made through a combination of our dentists’ expertise and 3-D computer imaging technology provided by the clear aligners company, Invisalign.
Because the aligners are thin and clear this means nobody but you will know you are having your teeth straightened and you don’t have to worry about breaking a wire or bracket. And because you are in charge of changing your aligners this means fewer visits to the office to get adjustments, which saves you time and the inconvenience of coming more frequently which you would experience with traditional braces.
The aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic that won’t irritate your cheeks and gums like traditional metal braces often do. Simply wear them throughout the day, and remove them when you eat or to brush and floss your teeth. As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth gently and gradually begin to shift into place. And because they’re virtually invisible, most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.
When you reach the end of the treatment you will be smiling more than ever. To protect the beautiful new smile you have invested you will need retainers to keep your teeth in their new position. Retainers are custom made using the same state-of-the-art technology as your aligners to lock in your beautiful smile.
