How do clear aligners work?
The Process
Step 1
A set of aligners is worn for 1 – 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
Step 2
As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position the dentist has prescribed.
Step 3
You will visit us approximately once every 6 – 8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
Step 4
Total treatment time averages 6 – 9 months. This, of course, will vary from case to case.
We straighten your teeth using a custom-made series of computer-generated aligners created especially for you.
The aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. They gradually and gently shift your teeth into place.
There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve your desired result with very little disturbance to your daily life.

Because the aligners are thin and clear this means oftentimes nobody but you will know you are having your teeth straightened and you don’t have to worry about breaking a wire or bracket. And because you are in charge of changing your aligners this means fewer visits to the office to get adjustments.
The aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic that won’t irritate your cheeks and gums. Simply wear them throughout the day, and remove them when you eat or to brush and floss your teeth. As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth gently and gradually begin to shift into place. And because they’re virtually invisible, most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.
To protect your new smile you have invested, you will need retainers to keep your teeth in their new position. Retainers are custom made using the same state-of-the-art technology as your aligners to retain your beautiful smile.
